The Alumni Association of Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology (AAGCELT) is an independent, non-commercial, non-profit, non-political and autonomous society of former students of GCELT, Kolkata.
We were registered on 21 November 2002 under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, and renamed on 17 April 2013 to reflect the college's expansion from the College of Leather Technology to the Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology.
Our story begins in 1919 and continues through a century of teaching, research and industrial leadership. It lives today in every graduate who carries the GCELT name into the world.
Alumni of all three disciplines are members of one Association, with equal standing.
